Betül KAZUT

Hello, I am Betül Kazut, I am a senior student of English language and literature department, In August 2025 I have been accepted from this beautiful project, which includes a one-month language training and many more opportunities. During the project, we had various trainings and trips in London. Obviously, such an opportunity would remain a dream that is very difficult for us to obtain outside of this project. It makes me feel extremely lucky to have gained such personal development and experience in a period of one month. Now I feel more determined, independent and willing in my  path. The decisions I made on behalf of my career were also shaped in this way. As a result of the university visit we made during the process and our exposure to the lifestyle of the locals, I realised that what I needed is do my master degree in a university city like Oxford. Moreover, thanks to my mentor interview, which made me realise in which field I want to do my master's degree, I was able to create definite goals for my career. And after this semester when I graduate I will apply master programs and those experiences will shed light on my path.  All in all, this one month has paved the way for the future version of me. I am grateful to those who contributed.

Medine KESIK

Hello, my name is Medine Kesik. I am a third-year Industrial Engineering student at Istanbul Technical University. In 2025, I was able to take part in the Educ8 London program. I had always been interested in learning what it would be like to live abroad, learning about the opportunities that exist there, and learning about possible educational routes. The Educ8 program allowed me to fulfill this curiosity with experiences that were truly valuable and enriching.

One of the most important things that London brought into my life was the people that I met through the program. My mentors allowed me to find answers to many of the questions that I had about my future plans and personal issues. What makes this experience even more valuable is that I am still in contact with them. Through my mentors, I was able to meet people from the industry and learn from them through mentorship and training, and I continue to do so to this day.

This program shed light on my path, allowed me to overcome many of my fears, and encouraged me to be more confident and brave in various aspects of my life.

Yagmur ÖZGAN

Hello, my name is Yağmur Özgan. I am a fourth-year medical student at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Through the Educ8 program, I had the opportunity to spend one month in London for language education and mentorship meetings.
During the program, I visited a cancer institute and met with a genetics mentor, which gave me valuable insight into the role of research in modern medicine. I also had the chance to speak with Turkish doctors working in London, including one practicing at St Thomas’ Hospital and another working in a private clinic. Listening to their experiences helped me better understand different medical career pathways and think more clearly about my own plans after graduation.
Beyond the academic side, living in London for a month was a transformative experience. The language training significantly improved my fluency and confidence in English, especially in speaking and communicating in professional settings. Being in a multicultural environment encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and interact with people from many different countries.
London itself was incredibly inspiring. Visiting its world-renowned museums, walking through historic streets, spending time in its beautiful parks, and experiencing its vibrant city life made every day memorable. The city’s diversity and dynamic atmosphere broadened my perspective and made me feel connected to a global community.
This experience was not only about improving my English, but also about gaining clarity for my future. It helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it made me feel much more confident when applying for internships and opportunities abroad. Most importantly, it strengthened my determination to pursue an international and research-oriented medical career.
