Meet the 2018 Scholars

Hello, I’m Gülay Didir. While I was a third-year Architecture student at Yıldız Technical University, I had the privilege of participating in the Educ8 program and spent an unforgettable month in London. The language school education and cultural activities provided by the program greatly helped me broaden my horizons both academically and personally. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Design at Istanbul Technical University, where I am writing my thesis on digital art in public spaces. At the same time, I work for a company, producing renderings and animations while applying my technical expertise in both digital and physical mediums.

I graduated from Yıldız Technical University Industrial Engineering Department in 2019. I continue my career in information technologies and work as a Senior Human Resources Solutions Analyst at Çalık Holding. I continue my master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at Bahçeşehir University. We have a goal to open an Asian restaurant with my husband.

I am currently working part-time in the legal department of a company while pursuing my Master of Laws (LL.M.) for Foreign Lawyers at the University of Cologne. Having finished the coursework phase, I am now dedicating my time to writing my thesis, where I am exploring topics like data protection law and artificial intelligence.
